Park walks and older streets. What it costs to train for both.
Fountain City is made up of older in-town houses, bungalows and apartments close to Broadway, with small to medium yards and sidewalks in many places. Dogs here meet other dogs often, so calm greetings and a steady heel save a lot of frustration. In-home lessons, commonly $100 to $200 per lesson, fit owners who want help on their own street.
Fountain City Park and its lake are a natural spot to practice once your dog can walk without pulling, and the older streets around the park work for earlier steps. Broadway and Tazewell Pike are busy, so they belong in the later stages. Weekends at the park are crowded, so early weekday visits suit beginners better.
Say you have a dog that lunges toward the ducks and other walkers by the water. The fix is gradual exposure at a distance, then closer as your dog settles. Gradual exposure like that goes best when one trainer knows your dog's history and adjusts every visit, and sending the form above is how you get an estimate.
How it works. Three simple steps.
- Fill out the short estimate form with your town and what your dog needs.
- Your request is reviewed and you are referred to a trainer based on your dog's needs and your area.
- You get a callback to talk through your dog and an estimate for the right program.

Why owners choose this
One trainer. Your dog. Real results.
We do not refer owners to franchise training chains. In our view, they lean on less experienced staff and indoor facilities instead of real-world training.
Good questions
Before we begin.
Can I practice leash skills at the park right away?
Start on quieter streets first, then move to the park when your dog is calm enough to listen. Your trainer will tell you when the crowds and water are a reasonable next step.
My dog gets overexcited near ducks and other dogs. What does that usually cost to fix?
It depends on how strong the reaction is. Mild excitement is often handled within a lesson package, while stronger reactivity coaching sits in a higher range. A free estimate narrows it down.
Do older homes with no fence change the plan?
Yes, a little. Without a fence, recall and leash control matter more, so those skills usually come first in the lessons.
